The TMBCT (Trunk Module Bothway Current Tone Frequency) is the successor of the TMBC module. It is loaded with a different software, and is not compatible with the TMBC.

The TMBCT module contains four bothway tie-line circuits alternating current (QS-WES).

The QS-WES handles incoming and outgoing internal traffic between two PABXs (Q2111-X).

Used as main/satellite PABX circuit (MTLC/SATLP) according to the WTK1 signaling procedure (AC voice frequency signaling system no. 1) it handles the incoming and outgoing internal, trunk and consultation traffic between a main and a satellite PABX (Q2111-X100).

Signaling is performed via a two-wire telephone line:

• as tie-line circuit with alternating current (50 Hz)
• as main or satellite PABX circuit according to WTK1 with alternating current (50 Hz) and DTMF signaling

The fron panel of the board contains 4 LEDs (busy indicators for the circuits), 4 potentiometers and 4 blocking keys.
