The TMBP (Trunk Module Bothway Inter-PBX Phantom Signaling) board offers four bothway PBX phantom signaling tie-line circuits per board to handle outgoing and incoming internal
traffic between two PABXs.
Internal and transit connections from and to the satellite PABX can be set up directly or via the attendant console. It is also possible to access the tie-line
circuit in the consultation state.
The interface to the remote exchange is the two-wire telephone line for speech and signaling.
-
- Signaling is carried out simultaneously with the balanced battery-ground procedure.
- With the battery-ground procedure, the ground is used as the return path, hence no equalizing current from another source should be allowed to flow on this leg.
- Exchange of signals takes place under the direct current simultaneous procedure for tie-line traffic.
- Operating voltage for the external interface (feed voltage): -48 V rated voltage, constant operating voltage -53.5 V.
- At the end of a call, the remote exchange's service status is ascertained by applying a line monitor to the line.
