Siemens S30807-K5415-X APPCU

The APPCU (order reference number S30807-K5415-X) is used for connecting 2-Mbit transmission paths with either 75 ohms or 120 ohms line impedance to the Hicom 300/300E and Hipath 4000 systems. The adapter serves two transmission paths, which may, depending on the module (DIU.. or CDG) have different line impedances.

The transmission rate is 2.048 Mbit/s. The adapter does not require a separate operating voltage supply. The module monitors the adapter plug as an integral part of the transmission path, i.e. it is not treated as a separate failure unit. All signalling and alarm wires are lightening-protected. In addition, the adapter incorporates a bifilar VHF choke on the a/b wires.

The APPCU is plugged into the cable socket of the appropriate modules (DIUC, DIUR, DIUS2 or CDG) on the backplane of the LTUS.

In new installations, the APPCU is used in place of the adapters APPC2, APPCK and APPCKG.

The cables used for the APPCU are also compatible with the APPC2, i.e. old adapters do not need to be exchanged if a new cable is installed.
