The LCS0 (Line Controller S₀) for Hicom 300/300E, provides 2 S₀ interfaces for connecting terminals. The S₀ interface is a 4-wire line (two wires in each direction) for transmitting data bits in AMI code. The transmission rate is 144 kbit/s, made up of 64 kbit/s for each of the two user data channels B1 and B2 plus 16 kbit/s on the signaling or D-channel.

• 7-segment display The seven segment display shows the status of the board during run-up and operation. The decimal point serves as a RUN LED. It indicates that the processor is functioning.
