Depending on the board variant, the SLMU (Station Line Modul Digital UP0) offers 16 UP0 interfaces, to each of which either one UP0 terminal or several S0 terminals (with a network terminator) can be connected.
Each UP0 interface constitutes an ISDN basic access with two B-channels (64 kbits/s each) for speech/data and a D-channel (16 kbits/s).
The two B-channels can be switched through to any available time slots of the PCM highway on the system-side. Of the possible D-channel data types (s, t), only s-data (signaling) is transmitted. The signaling data is exchanged between the UP0 interface and the common control CC or the peripheral packet handler (PPH). In emergency operation, either one remote UP0, or one remote S0 terminal and an NT, can be served per UP0 interface of the board.
The front panel of the board contains one LED.
