The TMX.21 (Digital Trunk Module) provides the adapter for the data traffic between the public data network IDN and the Hicom system as well as between Hicom and the terminals with X.21 interfaces.
Connection with DID i.e. IDN main station interface for Ttx or Datex L or interface to text satellite systemin incoming/outgoing direction. Connection of public access Ttx devices is also possible.
The module contains two circuits. When working with higher baud rates > 9600 Baud, only one circuit is used.
In standard cabinet systems, the TMX.21 is always plugged in the left mounting location, the right one must remain empty. Exception for RG and one other TMX.21 for baud rates > 9600 baud (circuit 0 left, circuit 1 right, second circuit on module remains empty).
Adapter APPC1 S30807-K5373-X is required for backplane connection to each module.
Each circuit can be configured as data circuit terminating equipment (DCE) or as IDN network termination (DTE). The transmitting and receiving direction of the interface lines on the module are thus defined. The interface bit rates can be set between 2400 baud and 64 kbaud.
